Our curriculum inspires and enthuses learners whilst promoting independence, creativity and curiosity. We aim to give our children the knowledge, skills and experiences to equip them to become happy, confident and capable in an ever changing world. They will learn through hands on, fun and engaging learning activities whilst developing confidence, resilience and teamwork skills.
At Diseworth, we’re proud to have a wonderful Forest School area, where every child enjoys weekly outdoor sessions as part of our curriculum. These sessions help children grow into confident, independent learners through hands-on experiences. This enables us to have a holistic approach to developing all children. From fire lighting and den building to using tools and cooking on a campfire, children explore a wide range of exciting activities that also support classroom learning. We also nurture a love for nature. Children learn about local wildlife, plant trees and seeds, and build habitats like bug hotels and bird boxes—helping to protect and celebrate our environment. At Forest School, every child is encouraged to 'Spread their wings and fly.'

Diseworth is a small, rural school near East Midlands Airport, where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to shine. Guided by our Christian values of compassion, courage, kindness, truthfulness, community, and endurance, we live out our vision of “Let your light shine” (Matthew 5:16).
We offer a nurturing environment where children grow into confident, independent, and resilient learners, ready for the next stage of their education. With personalised teaching in mixed-age classes, a broad and inspiring curriculum, and opportunities such as weekly swimming, sports coaching, music lessons, and outdoor learning, our pupils develop both skills and character.
Wellbeing is at the heart of our school. Experienced staff promote positive mental health every day, while strong partnerships with parents and carers ensure that every child thrives—socially, emotionally, and academically.
