In this section:
I just wanted to say a huge huge Thank you for all the effort and work you all put into the nativity performance. It was honestly just the best thing!
We are really pleased with the breakfast and after school provision.
A small, friendly school which makes people feel welcome.
Please send your child into school with a water bottle. This should be named clearly and filled with only water.
The medical profession has been informing us for many years that children do not drink enough water during the school day. At Diseworth Primary, we encourage all children to drink water regularly throughout the school day. Water is freely available throughtout the day to all members of the school community. Pupils keep their water bottle in their classroom, in an allocated place, so that they can get it when required. They are encouraged to refill their bottles if anyone runs out.
We are a nut free school so No Nuts Please as some children and staff are very allergic to them and contact or being in the same room can cause a serious reaction needing urgent medical care. This includes all chocolate spreads as these are often made from nuts.
All nut products will be removed from children's lunch boxes and an alternative item given.
Diseworth Primary School is a 'Healthy School'. Therefore, we do not allow sweets and chocolate bars in lunch boxes or for snacks. During the mid morning break pupils can have fruit, vegetables or dried fruit.
Currently, children under the age of 5, have been receiving free milk at school, funded by the Government's Nursery Milk Scheme. When your child turns 5, you can still order milk, if you wish. Please see a member of the school office for the details of this.
